Yesterday, as we confirmed in a post, respected Baird & Warner agent Robert John Anderson passed away suddenly in his home.

“Robert John was one of the most passionate real estate professionals that I have ever met,” Steve Baird, president and CEO of Baird & Warner, said. “He lived and breathed real estate, building a thriving business through his incredible skill and complete dedication to his clients. He will truly be missed by all.”

Robert John has been a top producer throughout this entire career. He was named a top 1 percent producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors for the past 10 years. He has also consistently achieved membership in Baird & Warner’s Founders Club and ranked in the brokerage’s top 1 percent.

Robert John began his real estate career in 1984 at The Habitat Brokerage Company. There, he was mentored by the company’s president and CEO, Millie Rosenbloom. When Habitat was acquired by Baird & Warner in 2007, they both joined our Lincoln Park office.

“I met Robert John when he was just 20 years old and watched him grow into one of the best real estate agents in the entire city,” Rosenbloom said. “He was a very dear and loyal friend who absolutely loved this industry.”

In addition to his real estate career, Robert John was very active in his local community. He was a board member of the Bucktown Zoning Organization Committee for almost 20 years, as well as a member of the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, the East Village Association and the West Town Chamber of Commerce. Robert John was also a member of the American Institute of Architects Chicago.
