@properties, the largest independent real estate brokerage firm in Illinois, announced that Heather Gustafson has joined the firm. A top-producing broker with extensive experience in new-construction residential sales and marketing, Gustafson has produced over $200 million in career sales volume, including more than $17 million during the last 12 months.

Gustafson comes to @properties from CMK Realty, where she was vice president of business development. While at CMK, she played a vital role in the sales and marketing success for a number of CMK Development’s high-rise condominium projects in downtown Chicago, including 201 West Grand, 1620 South Michigan, 1720 South Michigan, 630 North Franklin and 235 Van Buren. More recently, she also managed sales and marketing efforts for outside development firms including Ranquist Development Group, whose recent projects included Backyard Andersonville and Basecamp River North.

At @properties, Gustafson will spearhead the sales of Ranquist’s latest single-family home development, Basecamp Old Irving Park, which will feature 48 homes near the intersection of Milwaukee and Addison.

Prior to her career in real estate, Gustafson worked in corporate sales at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where she completed the company’s renowned training program.

“Heather is among the most knowledgeable salespeople in the business when it comes to new construction,” said @properties co-founder Thaddeus Wong. “She will be a huge asset to the @properties team as we continue to market new projects in both the city and suburbs.”

Gustafson, who recently moved to Hinsdale, also plans to grow her private-client brokerage business under the @properties umbrella.

“@properties has a growing presence in the western suburbs, and offers unparalleled opportunities and resources to grow my business and better serve my clients,” said Gustafson.

Gustafson has been an active industry liaison throughout her career. She is currently vice chair of the Chicago Association of Realtors Foundation and is past president of the Women’s Council of REALTORS. In her community, Gustafson is the ways and means chair for the Hinsdale Community Preschool. She also worked with Northwestern Memorial Hospital to develop the Palliative Care Arts Program in honor of her late mother.

Gustafson graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and business.
