What was your first job in the realty industry? I worked for Arthur Andersen LLP in Chicago, where I specialized in taxation of real estate.

Where did you grow up? Northbrook.

What is your favorite free-time activity? I enjoy spending time with my two children and husband. I also love trying new restaurants throughout Chicagoland.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Read a good book.

If you weren’t a Realtor, what would you be? Broke.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Howard Stern – no explanation needed.

What is your favorite place to hang out? Home with my family.

What do you love most about the industry? Taking a deal from beginning
to end.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? In addition to the obvious, I listen to my clients, return all phone calls and implement an aggressive marketing campaign. I never stop marketing until the closing has occurred.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? It can be difficult dealing with the various personalities in this industry.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I frequently attend industry related events. Furthermore, I love to network at The Standard Club downtown.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I arranged the sale of the land parcel located at the Armitage and 90/94 expressway intersection. Originally consisting of single-family homes and small commercial businesses, I had to go door-to-door to encourage the owners to sell. The site was later developed for a Best Buy and Kohl’s.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? Book – “The Kitchen House.”

What is your favorite restaurant? Twisted Spoke.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? The Wrigley Building.

What kind of car do you drive? Acura SUV.

Smartphone or Paper? Smartphone.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? London.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Figure out your passion and always be honest.
