Jim Weichert, president and founder of Weichert, Realtors, has announced that his son, James Weichert Jr., will be joining him as co-president of Weichert, Realtors.

In his new role, Weichert Jr. will be responsible for growing the business of Weichert, Realtors and providing its customers with an exceptional, full-service experience through Weichert’s mortgage, title and insurance companies.

“As co-presidents, James and I will work closely with our head of residential sales, Jacelyn Botti, and with Steve Adamo, our president of Weichert Financial Services, both of whom have proven themselves as successful leaders in their fields,” said Weichert. “I look forward with great pride and pleasure to working side by side with James as he continues to develop the astute business sense and strategic outlook that have already provided important perspective to our operations throughout the company.”

Weichert Jr. has served in a number of important positions throughout the Weichert, Realtors organization. He started his career as a sales associate in the Jersey City/Exchange Place office of Weichert, Realtors before going on to work at Weichert New Homes, where he significantly increased the company’s representation of larger, urban-oriented residential developments.

Weichert Jr. then served as regional vice president, overseeing the management and operations of three Weichert sales offices. He later worked in the office of the chief financial officer, where he gained a deeper understanding of the company’s internal operations.

Most recently, Weichert Jr. has led efforts to identify and develop future sales leaders, giving the company greater depth in management. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with his father to learn all of the businesses comprising the Weichert Family of Companies.
