Illinois Association of Realtors Installs 2014 Leadership

Phil Chiles, broker associate with the Real Estate Group in Springfield, is the IAR president for 2014.

The Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR) recently installed its 2014 leadership, which includes a new president, president-elect and treasurer.

Phil Chiles, a broker associate with the Real Estate Group in Springfield, will lead the IAR as its president in 2014. Chiles, a Vietnam veteran, has loads of executive experience within real estate. He has been chairman of the IAR Public Policy and Government Affairs Member Involvement Group and held a position on the IAR Strategic Planning and Executive Committees. In 2014, Chiles is also set to be chairman of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Political Advisory Working Group.

Jim Kinney, vice president of luxury home sales for Baird & Warner, is the IAR president-elect for 2014.

Joining Chiles on the IAR leadership team is President-Elect Jim Kinney, vice president of luxury home sales in Chicago for Baird & Warner. Kinney brings more than three decades of experience to the IAR. In 2002, the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) named Kinney its Realtor of the Year. Two years later, the IAR awarded Kinney with the title of Illinois Realtor of the Year. Kinney won’t bring only executive experience to the team, but also a passion for education. Kinney is a past dean of the Realtor Institute of Illinois and a former president of the Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF), which created a scholarship in his name in 2003.

Mike Drews, broker associate with Charles B. Doss & Co., is the IAR treasurer for 2014.

Broker Associate Mike Drews, of Charles B. Doss & Co., is the IAR’S 2014 treasurer. Drews is a former president of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, which named him Realtor of the Year in 2011. Drews is familiar with the IAR, having served in many of its departments, including the Professional Development division and the Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Working Group. In addition to managing the IAR’s finances, Drews will continue to preach sound ethics and professional standards, as he’s done throughout his career.
