The Illinois Association of Realtors® (IAR), the only advocate for private property rights at the State Capitol in Springfield and in city halls across Illinois, donated $48,000 to Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity® (FVHFH) at the Neighborhood Sponsorship Division to build a home for a low-income, working family in Aurora, Ill.

The organization identifies potential Habitat partners, working class families of good character that earn $22,000 – $45,000, and offers them “a hand up, not a handout” by rebuilding neighborhoods and providing local, low-income, working families with an affordable and safe place to live. Jeff Coros, a realtor in Naperville and surrounding areas, makes time in his busy schedule to help with FVHFH’s $1.85 million Working Families Rebuilding Neighborhoods campaign.

Formerly the Sponsorship Chairman, Coros gives back to the community as a nine year supporter of Naperville Exchange Club’s Ribfest whose proceeds fund a mission to eliminate child abuse and domestic violence. He is also named in the October issue of Chicago Magazine, which surveyed over 42,000 Chicagoland home buyers of $150,000+ homes over six months from July through December 2013, as a 2014 Five Star Real Estate AgentSM rated for superior performance over 97 percent of Chicagoland Real Estate Agents. Coros strongly believes everyone should have a decent place to live, and is grateful for IAR’s donation to Habitat.

“I’m grateful for IAR’s commitment to homeownership and their contribution to the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity® mission to build a home in the local Aurora area, where I also serve as a realtor,” said Jeff Coros, Sponsorship Fundraiser, Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity®.

In an effort to make a larger impact in the community, Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity® launched the $1.85 million Working Families Rebuilding Neighborhoods campaign to build and rehabilitate 20 homes in the Fox Valley area over the next four years.
