Getting Interactive

by Chicago Agent

With all the latest and greatest updates technology has just about every week, this means listing presentations on laptops could start to look a little dated. The great debate over whether it’s a benefit or detriment to present with technological apps on computers and iPads continues, but one realty company thinks using technology to provide an interactive listing presentation is a benefit for the agent as well as the prospective client.

City Point Realty developed an interactive listing presentation with the latest browsing craze, the iPad. This means their agents’ listing presentations are clean, straightforward, reduce paper usage and keep prospective clients engaged with views of live examples of City Point’s marketing systems in real time.

“We don’t just talk about what we do that’s unique, we actually show the potential seller live examples of how we market properties in real time during the presentation,” Brian Merrion, founder and managing broker of City Point, says. “We cut out the fluff – sellers don’t care about who started the company 100 years ago or other useless corporate information – they care about how you will help lead them to a successful sale at a fair price in as little time as possible.”

While in the presentation, agents can go right to the MLS site, allowing clients to see the current competition and closed sale information just as a consumer would. “It is very powerful when getting would-be sellers educated on determining price,” Merrion says. After the presentation clients are emailed listing agreements, marketing materials, and MLS data right from the iPad, further reducing paper consumption.

“The iPad was the missing piece of the puzzle because we needed a correlating tool that expressed our methods effectively,” says Dan Merrion, broker and owner of City Point. “We are constantly building cutting edge marketing systems that will empower our agents, and this
listing presentation reflects that.”

The company iPad is available to all the agents for use at no cost. “We would rather have our agents spend that money on personal marketing to grow their own brand,” he added.
