Broker/Owner, EXIT Strategy Realty

“I love the idea that what we are doing for people is finding them not only a place to call home, but a powerful investment piece for their future,” asserts Nick Libert, broker/owner of EXIT Strategy Realty in Bucktown. The company, which has a special focus on short sales, enjoys helping people and educating them about the market and smart investments. “With current prices allowing for cash flow income potential, this is now a great time and vehicle to diversify one’s investment portfolio beyond traditional stocks and bonds, as well.”

Libert, who has a law degree from Valparaiso University and was once the youngest elected city and county council member in Elkhart, Ind. (1998 to 2000 and 2002 to 2003), passed the Illinois bar in 2004, but opted to continue in real estate because he was impressed with the real estate landscape in Chicago and was enthusiastic about being an effective leader for agents and clients. As Libert expands his investment property portfolio, he aims to invest in beautification projects in various Chicago neighborhoods. He also hopes to get involved more politically to help repair and correct budgetary errors at the city and state level to move forward with a better fiscal landscape.

“Our company truly empowers agents to build a business within our brokerage, and my personal history as a business owner, who has seen the ups and downs, allows for a listening ear for agents looking to grow beyond the traditional desk and duties,” he says. “My goal for EXIT Strategy Realty is to grow beyond 100 agents, and as we accomplish that, I want to continue to raise the bar on the level of services for our agents.”

In addition to volunteering for EdgeAlliance, an AIDs and homeless veteran housing charity, he is busy filming a reality TV show, along with several other EXIT agents. The pilot was sold to a Los Angeles-based production company last year, which is in the process of placing it on a television network later this year.
