Deena Zimmerman is a rare commodity in Chicago: a successful female commercial broker with local and national ties. Her personal and energetic disposition is remembered by all who meet her.

Her outreach is beyond Chicagoland. While she is a senior associate with Jameson Commercial Real Estate, she is also the chair of the Illinois Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network and serves on the National Association of Realtors Finance Committee. Deena was president of the Women’s Council of Realtors-Chicago Chapter in 2010 and 2011, and  looks forward to serving on the Chicago Association of Realtors 2013 Board of Directors. Deena is also a proud mentor for the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative at Roosevelt University. “Giving back has given me the opportunity to do my part to improve our industry, and has opened doors for tremendous success in my own career,” she says.

“I started my career at a real estate publication and realized that I had met all the right people, including mentors who guided and helped shape my career.”

Her excitement about her clients and her niche in retail leasing and tenant representation is lived through her attitude. “I truly work with the most fun and amazing clients, many of whom become friends of mine,” she says. “I am so proud to be a part of the process when they open their doors for the first time or the fifth time.”

In addition to her passion for commercial real estate, she is as equally passionate about volunteering and raising funds for cancer charities as well as animal shelters. She is currently the secretary of Realtors to the Rescue, an organization that helps animal shelters find homes for pets.
