Lauren Traficanto and Shaun Moskalik never stop striving to find their customers the perfect home, and as broker associates in the Home Discovery Team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group, they continue to overcome obstacles in the market. “Our biggest accomplishment in the last year was and still is our ability to get our clients homes during a time of very limited inventory,” Moskalik says, adding that this was also their first year as completely merged business partners.

Specializing in properties within Chicago and the surrounding northern and western suburbs, Traficanto and Moskalik have a combined 31 years of experience working within the market, and both possess a great level of knowledge not only of the neighborhoods, but of the individual buildings themselves. And as the majority of their clients are professionals with little time and energy to expend on searching for a new home, Traficanto and Moskalik’s streamlined process makes them a reliable duo. “Our clients consistently say they enjoy that we listen to their needs and do not waste their time!” Traficanto says, noting that they, along with their new assistant, make accessibility and clear communication top priorities.

Traficanto and Moskalik are part of the Home Discovery Team, whose sales exceeded $110 million last year. Even though they’re the smallest team within Berkshire Hathaway KoenigRubloff Home Services, they ranked No. 3 in the company. The Home Discovery Team own numerous awards, including the Platinum award for sales and Gold award for volume from the Chicago Association of Realtors.

Part of their success comes from working with clients on every step of the process, including decluttering, redecorating and staging as an additional service in order to sell the listings quickly before they get stale. They also attribute their longevity to their commitment to improvement and a strong understanding of their clients. “Our business survived through the great recession, and our perseverance, knowledge and understanding of the flow of the market continually helps us grow as professionals and grow our business,” Moskalik says.

Both Traficanto and Moskalik are members of the Lincoln Park and River North Chambers of Commerce, and when they’re not working, they enjoy traveling, engaging with Chicago’s arts and culture scene and attending client fundraisers.
