She says her clients love using her as a resource not only for real estate but for keeping current on all things Chicago. “One of my goals is developing my downtown business,” Gibbons says. “I am excited to keep the momentum going.”
The market in downtown Chicago has been red-hot, with record development of new luxury high-rises and refurbishment of old buildings. “I’m having the best time showing off Chicago to my clients from the North Shore and Barrington,” Gibbons says. “I also help their kids find places in the city.” If sellers are moving out of state, she leans on her Jameson Sotheby’s team across the globe. “I believe my relationships with other agents and members of the real estate community are paramount to my success,” she says.
Gibbons was a seller herself recently when she listed her Barrington home last year. “It made me get back in touch with the process,” she says. “It’s such an emotional time when buying or selling a home, and I want to help my clients steady the ship.” Investment in real estate is not just what Gibbons preaches but how she lives her life, most recently purchasing a home in Michigan where along with her husband will create a vacation rental property.
Most of Gibbons’ business is drawn from referrals. “It’s all about the client,” she says. “I listen and then act. I want it to be right. I am so thrilled to be part of the process.” She believes in giving back to the industry that has given much to her and is currently the president-elect of the Women’s Council of Realtors. Gibbons also serves on the Finance Committee of the Chicago Association of Realtors. She enjoys traveling around the world, spending time with her children and enjoying everything Chicago has to offer!
