Gary Jacklin

Broker/Owner
RE/MAX Action

Gary Jacklin has just about done it all as far as real estate goes. After a career as a traveling musician, Jacklin wanted less time on the road and more time with his family, and figured real estate would give him the flexibility he wanted. He has spent the last 30 years doing just that: first listing and selling properties, then as the managing broker/owner listing, selling and growing RE/MAX Action.  Since 2006, he’s gotten away from listing himself to focus exclusively on helping grow his agents’ business. The results have been remarkable. When Jacklin bought RE/MAX Action in 1996, the company had just 11 agents. Now, the company boasts over 100 agents and bragging rights as the No. 1 RE/MAX office in Northern Illinois.

Along the way, Jacklin has earned a number of accolades and awards: in addition to his office’s three-year reign as the No. 1 RE/MAX office in northern Illinois, he’s also been the RE/MAX Northern Illinois Broker/Owner of the year twice, and has won multiple RE/MAX Northern Illinois Technology Awards. What Jacklin really prides himself on, however, is the success of his agents. “In my view, the success RE/MAX Action has earned is through the hard work of our agents,” he says. “I truly look at each agent as my personal business partner, with which comes a collaborative effort on both of us.”

In order to help his agents maximize their success, Jacklin has implemented the RE/MAX Action Complete Agent Development Program, a training program designed to help agents learn from each other’s successes. “It’s exciting that I have a system in place to share all of what I’ve learned along my journey of business growth. It’s the real deal, not the fluff that so many trainers are always trying to repackage and sell,” he says.

Outside of real estate, Jacklin still performs as a professional musician, but family is his first priority and he was proud to welcome his third and fourth grandchildren into the world this past year. He’s also involved in philanthropic efforts with St. Scholastica Parish and School, Catholic Education, and the Children’s Miracle Network.
