Branch Manager
iLoan Home Mortgage

Brian J. Weichel is giving homebuying an update. As branch manager and home loan specialist at iLoan Home Mortgage, Weichel hopes his clients find that purchasing a property through the iLoan experience is as easy as shopping online. “In today’s world, buying a home should never feel as old school as it did for our parents,” he says, and Weichel prides himself on his ability to tailor each loan program to his specific client, rather than sticking with only the most traditional offerings.

Weichel works with a wide range of clients, first-time buyers, veterans, teachers and union workers among them. Weichel takes the time to educate them on everything they need to know in order to have full involvement in the process of securing their loan. As a millennial himself, Weichel enjoys working with clients from his generation, as he says his understanding of their experiences and circumstances helps him find the perfect loan solution.

After a stint in San Francisco’s tech sector immediately following college, Weichel returned to Chicago and began a career in financial services. Nine years and many accomplishments later, Weichel is still humble about his achievements. “I can attribute a lot of my success and ability to be good at what I do to the people and team I have around me,” he says. “In this industry it takes many hardworking and creative minds to come together and work towards a common goal.”

Proof of that came in 2016, when iLoan finished its second year in Chicago with more than double its first year’s sales volume. “Having iLoan be the new name in the industry means that almost every month there’s some pretty great accomplishments,” he says.

A graduate of Loyola University Chicago and long-time city resident, Weichel never passes up the opportunity to run along the lake during the summer, or the many perks of patio season. He also volunteers with the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) and the Lydia Smith Sickle Cell Foundation, and is a member of WCR as well as the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
