Stephanie LoVerde

Tech Savvy Realtor
Baird & Warner

She began her career only three years ago, but Stephanie LoVerde has already made a name for herself in Chicagoland’s competitive real estate market. Honored by the Chicago Association of Realtors as its 2013 Rookie of the Year, she’s piled up considerable achievements since. Those include earning distinction as the No. 1 agent at Baird & Warner’s City North office in 2015 for helping 53 clients buy and sell more than $19 million in property. That accomplishment placed her in the top 1 percent of Realtors companywide. “I love my career and strive to give all of my clients 100 percent of my attention and dedication. They deserve nothing less,” she says. “I’m always inspired when they recognize and appreciate how much I care about them, because it means they know I have their best interests at heart.”

LoVerde initially planned to pursue graduate studies in counseling, but found that real estate was her true calling. Still, she relies on her coursework in psychology to help her understand her clients’ needs and specific stresses. Prior to graduate studies, her experience as a meeting and event planner taught her how to manage timelines and pay attention to detail, two critical skills for success in real estate. With this unique background, she thrives as a top listing agent known for outstanding negotiation and communication skills. “Most agents can be a good buyer’s agent, but marketing and selling a property require a special talent to ensure that no money is left on the table, so that sellers earn the greatest return possible,” LoVerde explains.

She is particularly touched when clients, family, and friends offer kind words, encouragement, and small gestures of thoughtfulness that inspire her both personally and professionally, because she strives to live by the motto “treat others the way you would want to be treated.” That governing principle remains front of mind, and she believes communication and collaboration are the keys to success.

An avid runner, LoVerde finds that the sport helps clear her mind so that she can stay alert and focused on doing what she loves: her career in real estate. “I adore this profession, and I believe that others can sense how much energy and love I have for it,” she says. LoVerde volunteers with an eating disorder support group, an issue particularly close to her heart due to personal challenges she herself has overcome. Her nieces motivate her to slow down to appreciate the little things in life and she takes comfort in optimism and her faith. Although real estate occupies a vast majority of her time, she has set out to make no little plans and is confident that trusting relationships are at the core of her business.
