Millie Rosenbloom is, quite simply, a Chicago real estate icon, having brokered more than $1 billion in residential sales. One reason the 20-year industry veteran has reached such professional heights is by telling it like it is. “I prefer to be direct with all of my clients, and I’m very honest in every aspect of home buying and selling,” she explains. Her candor and transparency have earned her clients’ respect, as has her deep knowledge of the city, especially Lincoln Park and Gold Coast neighborhoods. Rosenbloom credits her straightforwardness and confidence as reasons her clients consider her trustworthy, but she adds that she is always more than willing to help teach them the ins and outs when it comes to real estate, so that they gain an education during the process.

Rosenbloom herself grew up as a student in the business, thanks to her renovation expert parents.
“Real estate was familiar to me, because my mother and father bought and fixed up properties when I was growing up,” she says. Those childhood experiences, coupled with strong negotiation skills, a keen understanding of market trends and a talent for cost analysis, have propelled her to the top of the Chicago real estate market. In addition to her consistent recognition as a top producer in residential and commercial brokerage, Rosenbloom’s honors are numerous. Her most prestigious recognition is her 2014 induction into the Chicago Association of Realtor’s Hall of Fame, becoming only the third woman to be so honored. She was also the third woman to be president of the Chicago Association of Realtors in its 118-year history. Other honors include induction into the Today’s Chicago Woman Foundation Hall of Fame and being named the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Realtor of the Year.

While she finds real estate challenging and exciting, Rosenbloom makes clear that she understands that one’s property is an expensive asset, and she takes it seriously. “Clients want results like a sale or to find the right property,” the industry veteran says. “I’m very organized, and I understand their needs, so I can get them quick results. I make the process as drama-free as possible!”

Inspired by her family, including husband John and labradors Mavis and Mable, she is an active supporter of civic organizations including the Brain Research Foundation and Facing History and Ourselves. Rosenbloom is also continuously motivated by knowing that there are no limits to the success she can achieve in her career. “Real estate lets you make out of it what you want. Doing what I do gives me a high that I love!”
