What was your first job in the realty industry? Agent at Urban Search Realty.

Where did you grow up? Denver, Colorado.

What is your favorite free-time activity? Outdoor activities with family and friends.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Read.

Growing up, what did you want to be? A journalist.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Barack Obama, because he renewed my enthusiasm for political action.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My house.

What do you love most about the industry? There is always something new to learn, use and integrate.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I find something in each client that makes it easy to give extra service.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Organizing time.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I am always looking to join new activities in the areas I want to have a larger presence in.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Raising wonderful human beings known as my children.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Leviathan” —­ a book recommended by my granddaughter, who is my best book critic.

What is your favorite restaurant? It changes all the time. The Sit Down Café & Sushi Bar in Hyde Park has good food, and it’s easy to get to.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? It’s not really a building, but the Modern Wing at the Art Institute.

What kind of car do you drive? A Honda Accord, a few years old.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? Key West.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry? Read about it, take classes and talk to people who have been in the industry for a long time. There is no end to learning.
