Chris Oswald, executive account manager at Greater Illinois Title Company

by Chicago Agent

Number of years in real estate: 7

Describe your look: I like to walk the line between classy and edgy. Channeling my inner George Clooney, I’ve embraced a bearded look this winter season much like 50 percent of males my age.

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? Anything Crocs related. I think I had the “right” feeling about Ed Hardy shirts and puka shell necklaces.

What is your favorite piece of clothing and why? I have a soft spot for blazers. I think they’re incredibly versatile. A nice blazer can make a casual outfit look refined.

What do you consider a must-have accessory? I would have to go with a watch. They provide simplicity and signal style with any outfit. Also, a quick glance toward your wrist is the classiest way to keep tabs on time during a meeting.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past? I did not have the “right” feeling about Abercrombie & Fitch.

Where are your favorite places to shop? Charles Tyrwhitt, Banana Republic… I’ll confess I’ve been a victim of Instagram ads.

What, besides your wardrobe, completes your look? It sounds cheesy, but my smile. A smile and a positive attitude are things I wear every day servicing my clients. It’s imperative when creating trust and rapport with your clients.

What is in your bag/briefcase? Laptop, business cards, RXBARs and eco-friendly water bottle

My closet is full of… sweaters for days! Fall is the best season. Oh and Packers gear. Yes, I’m a cheesehead.

Blazer: Rodd & Gunn; shirt: Stone Rose; pants: Banana Republic; shoes: Cole Haan

Is this magazine about what fashionable items an agent wears or about how excellent a real estate agent is at placing individual/companies into real estate that aligns with a customers needs and desires? Glad i now know what watch my real estate agent will buy after the sale…
