What was your first job in the realty industry? I was a Realtor.

Where did you grow up? Chicago

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I like spend time with my family. They give me perspective and help me keep everything in check.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wasn’t really sure. My father was a carpenter, and I always felt that I would wind up in the real estate industry in some capacity.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would love to have lunch with Colin Powell. I think he was a great leader and statesman.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I love to do family dinners with my wife and children at Reno in Logan Square.

What do you love most about the industry? I love helping people create wealth through real estate.

How do you distinguish yourself from other lenders or loan officers? Communication. It is inevitable that problems will arise from time to time, but communicating those speed bumps to all parties helps keep everyone off the ledge.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I like to meet people at Starbucks. It is simple, and I love a good iced coffee.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I’m still a work in progress, but being the best husband and father I can be to my family.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “The Magic of Thinking Big” by David J. Schwartz

What is your favorite restaurant? I’m a big fan of small plates. Longman and Eagle always has great food, and they rotate the menu often.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? I like buildings with character, so pretty much anything Art Deco. I think the Chicago Board of Trade building is great.

What kind of car do you drive? A Mercedes SUV

Smartphone or paper? Old school! I go with paper.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? New York, particularly Brooklyn
